I know I’ve mentioned we’re a google home house here, but Alexa has been around a while and the team at Plex have finally gotten around to integrating Plex with Alexa. I hope this means google home integration isn’t too far behind, but lets take a look at what this means for Plex and Alexa users…

The Plex Alexa experience begins with a quick setup. First, tell Alexa to enable the Plex skill. Link your account and then ask her to “open Plex” to start using the skill. From there, you can have her ask Plex to play whatever media you like on any of your players. You can ask for suggestions, “ask Plex what’s On Deck,” and more! It’s a HUGE step in the right direction and as I said, I really hope that Plex is working on Google Home integration now that they got Alexa covered… after all, I can use GH to start netflix on my chromecast devices… why can’t I use it to start plex?
